The Quiet Luxury of Well-Planned Kitchens
The kitchen is the hardest-working room in a Pakistani home and the most under-planned. Show kitchens get the photography; the real cooking happens elsewhere. We design for both — because both deserve dignity.
The two-kitchen solution
For homes that cook daily with oil, spices and high heat, we plan a main kitchen for prep and serving plus a ventilated dirty kitchen for heavy cooking. It is not a luxury; it is the difference between a kitchen that stays beautiful and one that surrenders in a year.
Ventilation is not optional
A beautiful hood that recirculates into the room is decoration. We duct every hob to the exterior, size the extraction for actual cooking loads, and provide make-up air so the kitchen doesn’t pull conditioned air from the rest of the house.
Storage at the point of use
Spices near the hob. Pots near the sink. Everyday crockery at shoulder height, not in a loft that needs a ladder. A kitchen is a machine for cooking — its layout should read like one, with everything within a step of where it’s used.
